Campfire Reading Event at Holy Cross School
Halloween stories are always made more perfect when told around an autumn camp fire. On Tuesday, October 25th, that’s exactly what the children at Holy Cross School in Dewitt did. Students in grades Pre-K through second came to the Library Media Center to gather around a “campfire”, sing some songs, and listen to some great stories.
The library was full of excitement as the students participated in a sing-a-long, listened to a guest reader from Dewitt Community Library and even had a marshmallow on a stick. The students enjoyed this special fall reading event.
Valentine's Day Skype Session
The 6th grade put on a special performance on Valentine's Day for their Kindergarten Reading Buddies. They performed, via Skype, the story "Fluffy's Valentine's Day" and then each student gave a personalized message to their reading buddy. The kindergarten enjoyed the play and afterwards made thank you notes to show their appreciation.
